When a student is away 1 – 5 days for vacation, please let the office know and attendance will be entered as A-Parent Approved.
The following forms are to be completed if the student will be:
When a student will be away for 6 – 15 days.
FS-23-TW – 6-15 day Temp Withdrawal Form

If a student is away for 6 days or more, up to a total of 15 consecutive days:

The parent/legal guardian can submit the form prior to departure.

If the form is received in advance, the student will be marked as “G – temporary withdrawal” for all consecutive days away up to 15 days.

If the student does not return by day 16, they will be removed from the enrolment register on their first day of non-attendance (e.g. day of their departure).

When a student will be away for 16 or more consecutive days.
FS-23-PS – Program of Study Form-16 days or more

The parent must submit the form prior to departure for the program of study to be considered.

The principal will determine if a program of study will meet Ministry requirements. E.g.:

Is a temporary measure

There is a specified period of time on the form (i.e. not indefinite)

Will help the student to meet the curriculum requirements covered while away

Provided the program of study is followed, the student could complete the course or grade

Will return to complete the grade or the course in the same school year

Temporary Withdrawal forms cannot be used for medical reasons.
