This group of students focuses on building a positive inclusive school culture.  Huron’s GSA is here to help us better understand feelings about sexual orientation and gender identity. Whether it is to embrace our own sexual or gender identity or act as an ally for our friends, family or loved ones, we focus on issues and feelings in regard to coming out and relationships with families, friends, and the larger community.

Huron People of Colour (H-PoC)

Staff Sponsors:  A variety of wonderful and dedicated staff members!

The vision of H-PoC is to create unity, as well as promote cultural awareness throughout the school. The goal is to also help students with different backgrounds, passions and cultures come together with people that they may have not have otherwise spoken to or associated and create friendships. This club aims to highlight the fact that reality is not one in which ‘one-size-fits all’; we are unique beings and we should embrace such features.
