
Code of Conduct
Students share in the responsibility of creating a successful learning environment.
Be present and be on time
- Regular and punctual attendance is an important factor in achieving academic success.
- Students are expected to attend classes regularly and to follow established attendance validation procedures.
Be prepared
- Students are expected to arrive at every class with the required materials as specified by their teachers.
Be cooperative and courteous
- Students are expected to be polite and cooperative with ALL staff members (administrators, teachers, educational assistants, secretaries, custodians, and supervision monitors) including situations where students are asked to identify themselves.
- Students are expected to be courteous with all members of the Huron Heights community including fellow students, parents, neighbours, and visitors to the school.
Be respectful and safe
- Huron Heights Secondary School is a wonderful new facility with up-to-date furniture and equipment.
- Students are expected to show pride in their school and to treat it with respect.
- As key members of the community, students are expected to help maintain a clean and safe school environment.
- Furthermore, students are expected to respect our neighbours and their properties by not loitering and littering.
Be hardworking and responsible for your own learning
- A student can only achieve his/her personal best by taking initiative and by giving full effort.
- Students are expected to accept responsibility for their behaviour and their own learning.
Be ambassadors in the community
- Our students are ambassadors of HHSS and are expected to behave respectfully to all of our neighbours.
- Do not trespass on the private property of others, or loiter at places such as plazas or retail outlets in our school’s community.
- Be good citizens of our community.
