Hello to our returning Husky families and to our new Husky families!
The 2026-2027 school year is fast approaching and we would like to share some information to our Husky community.
If you are new to the area and live within the HHSS boundary, please click on this link HOW TO REGISTER. Once you complete the online registration form (closed from August 10th-14th due to system update), you will be contacted by our Guidance Department to schedule an appointment. Please do not come to the school without an appointment. We need to ensure the proper support staff are available to you for selecting courses, etc. Should you require any further information, please email hrh@wrdsb.ca.
Monday, August 31st, 2026: School opens. Office hours are 7:30am – 3:00pm.
Tuesday September 8th, 2026: First day of school – We have a MODIFIED SCHEDULE. We can’t wait to welcome incoming Huskies and help our grade 9 students to transition to high school! Grade 9 homeroom begins at 8:10 and classes for grades 10-12 begin at 11:30. Grades 10-12 students are welcome to come to school at the start of the school day; there will be several supervised areas in the school for students to attend prior to the start of the first period. Attendance will be taken for each scheduled class.
Friday, September 4th: By the end of the day, student timetables will be emailed to the student’s WRDSB school account. If you are new to HHSS, the email will go to the parent/guardian of the student. School Day and MyBlueprint are NOT accurate. Please wait until you see your official timetable in your email.
It’s important to have accurate attendance records for each student! If your child is absent, please email hrh-attendance@wrdsb.ca. Students whose attendance is not validated by a parent or guardian may be sent to the office to update records; to avoid students missing class in order to track absences, please make every effort to contact the school before or on the day of the student’s absence. Please also note that regular, consistent attendance in class is key to student success. Whenever possible, please schedule appointments outside the school day. Please see the WRDSB Calendar for Important Dates. Also, please check the HHSS School Calendar on our website for Important dates, Exam Dates and events.
If you have any questions regarding eligibility for bus transportation or other related transportation questions, Busing information will be available on Monday August 17, 2026, please contact Student Transportation of Waterloo Region (STSWR) or call 519-744-7575.
For students/families who did not get an opportunity to pick up their report cards/diplomas etc. in July, Report Cards will be placed in the Start Up Package which will be distributed to Students on September 8th.
School Day will be unavailable to parents until late August. IF you are not yet on School Day, please contact Linda Llewellyn – linda_llewellyn@wrdsb.ca to get your Secure Match Key.
2025-2026 Yearbooks will be available September/October, please check on the school website and School day for updates.
