We would like to remind HHSS families that Thursday, November 6th is an Exam, Evaluation, and Instructional Support Day for students.

Student Attendance:
This day is an opportunity for teachers to focus on a variety of assessment and evaluation products, conversations, and observations that will aid students in consolidating learning and working towards a provincial standard demonstration of the overall expectations prior to a reporting period. Teachers will share expectations for the day for each class with their students. Some classes will have a mid-term exam or summative evaluation requiring full class attendance, while some classes will encourage individual students who would benefit from additional support to attend to complete assignments that are missing or need improvement.

Teachers will communicate expectations for these days to their students and notify specific students if in-person attendance is required. Periods will run following our normal schedule; Thursday November 6 is in week two, so periods will be A, B, D, C. School bus transportation will be provided following the usual schedule.

*Students in our ACE program will attend in-person following their regular schedule.

*Transportation will run at regular times. All staff will attend work on these days and rotate through our regular schedule.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or the main office.
