We hope Husky families were able to relax and unwind over the summer break.  The Huron staff have been working behind the scenes in preparation for start up and now we are ready for the 2025-2026 school year.

On Tuesday, September 2nd, (at the end of the day), official school timetables will be sent to WRDSB students’ school email accounts.  If you are new to HHSS, the timetable will be sent to the parent/guardian email address that was given at registration.  If for some reason you do not receive the email, Huron staff will be here to help on the first day of school.

The 2025-2026 School Year will be different at Huron Heights.  On the first day of school, Wednesday, September 3rd, we have a modified schedule.  Our grade 9 students should arrive at 8:00am and the school day will begin at 8:10am.  Please click here to view our modified schedule.  Our staff and leadership students will help our grade 9’s transition to high school in a positive way.  While grades 10-12 are welcomed in the morning and gather in designated areas of the school, their classes do not start until 11:45am. As with all school days, attendance will be taken; if  your student will be absent, please call the school or email hrh-attendance@wrdsb.ca

The Daily Bell Schedule has also changed, as communicated earlier.  Please click here to review the new bell times. Please note the new start time at 8:10. We ask all students to be respectful of the Territorial Acknowledgement and the playing of the National Anthem. Classes will end at 2:20 pm.

One of the biggest changes our students will enjoy is One lunch break.  What does this mean?  Students may participate in clubs, physical activities and enjoy lunch with their friends…..all at the same time!  We feel this new schedule will bring an inclusive environment and community spirit. We also recognize that space to eat lunch in the cafeteria is limited; students will be able to eat in various areas throughout the building. Please remind your students that they should be mindful of cleaning up after themselves. Our custodial team is amazing and we are so grateful for all of their work; please reiterate with all students that custodians deserve our respect and appreciation, and that includes cleaning up after themselves at lunch and throughout the day!

Finally, our motto—“E Concordia Fortitudo”—is surrounded by a rope that descends to the bottom of the crest to a tightly held knot. This represents our belief that “As Huskies we all pull together!”
