It is with a very heavy heart that the Huron Heights Secondary School community mourns the loss of Bo Etwaru on August 20th, 2025. Mr. Etwaru  joined HHSS in 2023 as our In-School Tech support. Mr. Etwaru provided tech support to teachers and students, and led students in learning about A/V support for school events including assemblies, drama and music productions, after school coffee houses, dances, and so much more.

Mr. Etwaru  was a compassionate and caring person who was dedicated to supporting students and staff alike. He was known for his kindness and positivity. In his library office and across the school, Mr. Etwaru was always upbeat, positive, and happy to help. We will miss his kind and compassionate care for  all of us at Huron Heights.

In honour of Mr. Etwaru, the flags at Huron Heights Secondary School and the Waterloo Region District School Board will be flown at half mast this week.

Our thoughts are with the Binning and Etwaru family.
