Instructional Support Days
Instructional Support and Evaluation Days will be offered as scheduled on our ministry-approved school calendar for 2023-2024.
Semester 2: Wednesday, April 17 & Thursday, April 18, 2024
Teachers will communicate with students if they are required to attend these days in order to complete missing or incomplete work, or improve their grades. Students who are not requested to attend are not required to do so, unless they would like extra help or would like to complete outstanding work or receive additional support. Teachers will be in their regularly scheduled classes during these two days, but students can request to meet outside of their regular periods.
ACE students will attend school with regular programming and following regular attendance procedures.
Transportation will run at regular times.
These days are an opportunity for teachers to focus on a variety of assessment and evaluation products, conversations, and observations that will aid students in consolidating learning and working towards a provincial standard demonstration of the overall expectations prior to a reporting period. On these days, teachers will support each student to improve their achievement. These days are tremendously beneficial to our students’ well-being and provide an opportunity for both remediation and deeper understanding on the topics covered in class.
