Dear Husky Families,

I am writing to you to make you aware that the community-based initiative, A Better Tent City, is being temporarily relocated to the Battler Road snow storage facility, an area near Huron Heights Secondary School. Currently, the plan is for this location to be used until October 31, 2021. 

I want to assure you that student and staff safety is our top priority. Over the summer break, our administrative team, along with central board staff, will be closely monitoring the situation for safety and security. We are committed to putting additional measures in place as needed.

We recognize the importance of supporting the community’s most vulnerable residents through this move to a temporary location. This initiative is a positive contribution to our greater community, and we are grateful to be part of a community that believes in healing and helping those who need support.
