Each year at this time minor adjustments are made to school bell times for the upcoming school year. This is done in effort to maximize the efficiency of our complex bus transportation system. Coinciding with the move to a 5-period, double-lunch daily schedule for September 2021, Huron Heights school day will be lengthened by 10 minutes. This adjustment will occur at the end of the school day, shifting our current dismissal time of 2:25 pm to 2:35 pm. Our 8:00 am daily start time remains the same.

The COVID-19 worldwide pandemic has created uncertainty concerning the format of learning that will be used for the 2021-22 school year. It is yet to be determined if Distance Learning and Cohorting will be necessary. As a result, we will continue the postponement of the Multi-Subject Instructional Period (MSIP) approach to scheduling. Aligning our schedule with the other WRDSB secondary schools will provide us with the flexibility to pivot in response to various unknowns, while continuing to reduce the number of potential student contacts, as prescribed by the Region of Waterloo Public Health and the Health and Safety Protocols of the Waterloo Region District School Board.
