Touchdown!

We heard. We asked. We found. To you, we say thank you!

We have some exciting news to share: the Huskies senior boys’ football season has been saved and will go on.

*…and the crowd goes wild*

Principal Jeff Klinck and the Huron Heights Secondary School (HHSS) administrative team are pleased to announce that between the flexibility of the existing coaches and the generosity of some key volunteers, a viable solution has been found that will field both junior and senior football teams this season. As a result, our students can continue to explore their passion for football in a safe and fun environment.

Without the support and patience of the community and leadership of the Huron Heights SS staff coaches, the 2018-19 football season would not have been possible. A special shoutout to all of our incredible staff members who take the time to support the extra-curricular interests of our students outside of school hours. This is just one example of putting our students first, each and every one.

We want to thank all the students, staff, parents and community members who rallied around this team to help find a qualified coach by sharing the call for volunteers message. Your dedication and passion were outstanding.

Most importantly, we want to take this opportunity to thank all of the applicants who put their names forward to be a volunteer coach.

The outpouring of community support and spirit was truly amazing – thank you!
