The threat was reported to the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) and is still being investigated. We continue to work closely and cooperatively with our police partners to determine the author of the message.

We acknowledge that this is a stressful time and share your concern for our students’ and staff safety and well-being. Please know we are doing everything we can to make sure our school environment remains safe for learning. We appreciate the feedback you have provided us and we value your input and concerns.

We want to repeat the statements from our board that it is unacceptable to make threats towards anyone. We take any threat of violence, verbal or written, very seriously. The safety, security, and well-being of our students and staff remains a top priority. We continue to welcome our students and staff with all regular classes and extra-curricular activities running as scheduled.
