Parents’ Night In! A night of learning and fun for our current and future Huron Heights caregiver community
Come join us for our first annual Parents’ Night In!
When: Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the HHSS Library.
Parents’ Night In is an evening of learning and fun for our Huron Heights caregiver community! If you are a caregiver of a current HHSS student, or your teen is currently in grade 7 or 8 and will be attending HHSS in the near future you are welcome to join us for this engaging and fun-filled night of learning!
Come out to connect with the HHSS School Council members, and have your questions answered about life at high school! Come out to discover how to develop a growth mindset in your teen, build mental wellness and foster emotional resilience in your teen through modern parenting strategies. Learn with us as we discover how to foster deeper connections with our teens by using the Connect-7 model as taught by our special guest speaker Miguel Martinez.

About our special guest speaker:
Miguel Martinez, with over 20 years in personal development, is the head coach and founder of MTClife. He is a TED Talk speaker and the author of the upcoming book “The 7 Imps,” launching in fall 2024. Miguel has collaborated with the Canadian Mental Health Association and Shawanaga First Nation, delivering active programs. He hosts the podcast “From Vision to Success,” which has over 75 episodes on achieving personal success. Miguel has developed a 21-week Gratitude Journal for students and a manual for teachers to promote mental health and personal growth in schools.
Miguel Martinez recently achieved a significant milestone by writing an article for the Centre for Child Development, Mental Health, and Policy at the University of Toronto. His article was featured in the prestigious magazine “PIP O,” known for its insightful coverage of issues related to child development and mental health. Miguel’s work highlights his expertise and dedication to advancing understanding in this crucial field, offering valuable perspectives that contribute to ongoing discussions and research.
