👀 Sneak peek of items to bid on: Silent Auction Items 2022

Each year the grade 12 business leadership (BOH4M) students at Huron Heights Secondary School embark on a hands-on assignment that helps a local family in the community. This year, the class has chosen the Hutchinson family and will offer them financial assistance by hosting an auction in their honour.

Shayna Peters-Hutchinson, a former HHSS student from Kitchener, passed away from Sickle Cell Anemia at the age of 31 in November 2021. She left behind 3 children under the age of 6. Shayna’s mother is solely providing daily care for her 3 grandchildren and her disabled adult son.

The funds raised through the Charity Silent Auction will help cover daily care of 3 small children, such as winter clothing, increased food costs, and van repair & modification to transport the new family of 5. A portion of the money raised will also start an education fund for the 3 children.

Thank you for your support. This is a great tradition that provides an opportunity for our students to demonstrate both their leadership skills and compassion for others!
