March 25th, 2020
While our schools are closed, it’s important that we remain focused on supporting our health and well-being. During this time of uncertainty and physical distancing, it’s important for us all to take time for self-care, and supporting our physical and mental health. We may not know yet what is happening regarding our return to classroom dates or when physical distancing will end, but we do know that taking good care of ourselves and being kind and human to others (from a distance!) is always an effective strategy to tackle new things, like this pandemic and distance learning.
We recognize that these are stressful times for our students. We are inviting students and families to review the resources we have compiled on our website.
If you are worried about your own or a friend’s well-being or mental health, please reach out to one of the resources listed and connect with a trusted adult for support. I need help now from Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council.

About WRDSB@Home
In the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB), our students come first – each and every one. Our school buildings may be temporarily closed, but supportive learning can continue. With this in mind, we are announcing WRDSB@Home. This website will act as a hub to offer service outside the classroom to support our students’ academic growth.
About COVID-19
Please remember to wash your hands, not to touch your face and maintain social distance. Find more information and links to helpful and fact-based resources on our website at wrdsb.ca/covid.
